Welcome to Tend, LLC ("Tend," "we," "our," or "us").
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, services, memberships, bookings, and communications. By accessing our website or booking services through Tend, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Tend, LLC
Tend is a household support company that connects individuals and families with carefully vetted independent household support professionals for services including, but not limited to:
Household Assistance
Family Assistance
Laundry & Home Reset
Meal Preparation
Backup Childcare
Home Organization
Other lifestyle support services
Our goal is simple:
Small help. Big relief.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Tend.
By using our services, you confirm that:
all information you provide is accurate
you are legally able to enter into contracts
you will use Tend only for lawful purposes
3. Our Role
Tend carefully screens, interviews, and matches households with independent household support professionals.
Tend coordinates bookings, communication, and payment processing, but unless otherwise stated in writing, household support professionals are independent contractors and are not employees of Tend.
4. Services
Services may include:
Family Assistant
Household Assistant
Laundry & Home Reset
Meal Prep
Backup Care
Services may change over time.
Availability is never guaranteed.
5. Booking Policies
Bookings may be:
One-time
Recurring
Membership-supported
Clients are responsible for providing:
accurate addresses
parking information
pets
access instructions
household expectations
6. Memberships:
If applicable:
Recurring memberships automatically renew monthly until cancelled.
Benefits may include:
priority matching
preferred scheduling
recurring placements
Membership benefits may change over time.
7. Payments
Payments are processed securely through our payment processor.
Clients authorize Tend, LLC to charge:
booking fees
recurring memberships
applicable taxes
cancellation fees (when applicable)
Late or declined payments may result in suspension of services.
8. Cancellations
24+ hours: No fee
12 hours: 50% fee
Same day/no-show: 100% fee
Household Support Professionals are compensated for reserved time.
9. Household Expectations
Clients agree to provide:
a safe environment
respectful treatment
smoke-free workspace during service
reasonable working conditions
Tend, LLC reserves the right to cancel services where safety concerns exist.
10. Childcare Services
Household Support Professionals are not medical professionals.
Parents remain legally responsible for:
medical decisions
emergency decisions
medications
transportation (unless specifically agreed)
Clients must disclose:
allergies
medical conditions
behavioral concerns
emergency contacts
11. Independent Contractor Relationships
Household support professionals are independent business owners.
Tend, LLC does not control:
hours accepted
methods of performing services
other businesses they choose to operate
12. Background Checks
Tend, LLC uses commercially reasonable efforts to screen household support professionals.
This may include:
interviews
identity verification
reference checks
criminal background screening (when applicable)
No screening process can guarantee future conduct.
13. Confidentiality & Privacy
Homes are deeply personal. Both helpers and clients agree to respect the privacy of one another.
Household information, addresses, schedules, children, photos, security systems, and personal information should never be shared without permission.
14. Photography
No photos or videos inside a client's home without permission.
No posting on social media.
No recording conversations.
15. Safety
Household Support Professional may decline any task that:
is unsafe
illegal
outside their scope
requires specialized licensing
involves hazardous materials
16. Non-Solicitation
Clients agree not to directly hire or contract with a Tend-introduced helper outside of Tend for 12 months after the last booking without paying Tend LLC’s placement fee.
Household Support Professionals agree not to solicit Tend clients outside the platform.

18. Disclaimer
Tend, LLC provides household support coordination.
We do not guarantee:
specific outcomes
compatibility
uninterrupted service
permanent availability of any helper
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tend, LLC’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the applicable booking or membership, except where prohibited by law.
20. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify Tend for misuse of the platform or violations of these Terms.

22. Dispute Resolution
1. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
In the event of any controversy, claim, or dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement, or the breach thereof, the parties shall first attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute by mutual negotiation. [1]
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, any claim or dispute shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the [American Arbitration Association (AAA) / JAMS] in accordance with its Commercial/Consumer Arbitration Rules. 2. Class Action Waiver

3. Small Claims Option
Notwithstanding the arbitration provision above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes or claims that are within the scope of that court's jurisdiction
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use constitutes acceptance.
